An Introduction To California Communities United Institute
California Communities United Institute (CalComUI) is a California based entity dedicated to making this a better world for all the communities of California.
We do our work primarily by helping people send e-mails to California Legislators and the Governor of California in support of good California legislation and in opposition to bad California legislation. The members and friends of CalcomUI regularly send more than 300,000 E-mails to California state legislators and the Governor per year.
A basic goal of the Institute is to encourage people from various communities to work together for the good of all of them.
In particular, we focus on promoting the social, economic, and human rights of lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender and intersex individuals, couples and families; people affected by HIV/AIDS; People of Color; people on limited income, and women. We do this by urging elected officials to enact and support legislation that accomplishes this goal.
California Communities United Institute is self funded. We invite you to make use of our services, but we will not ask you to donate money.
