What Is California Communities United Institute?

California Communities United Institute (CalComUI) is a California based entity dedicated to making this a better world for all the communities of California. Fundamental to our philosophy is the concept that, if various communities work together, supporting each other's needs, then all of them will benefit, and each will benefit to a greater degree than if they worked alone.

What Services Does California Communities United Institute Provide?

California Communities United Institute seeks to benefit the communities we serve in three primary ways:

1. By informing people as to their rights and responsibilities and providing them with information that will help them make a  better life for themselves.

2. by providing them with tools that they can use to obtain their rights or take advantage of opportunities available to them.

3. By making it easy for them to communicate with their legislators in support of, or in opposition to, legislation that affects their communities.

California Communities United Institute provides an easy process by which people can send E-mails to California legislators and the Governor of California in support of good California legislation and in opposition to bad California legislation. The members and friends of CalcomUI regularly send more than 300,000 E-mails to California state legislators and the Governor per year.

However, we also provide information as to the names, addresses, phone and FAX numbers, E-mail addresses and web site addresses for most state and federal elected officials. You can get all this contact information by simply clicking on "Who Represents Me" on the left side of this page.

A basic goal of the Institute is to encourage people from various communities to work together for the good of all of them.
